As well as bowling, we offer a range of dining, conferencing and social facilities and our large function room is available for hire.

Playing competitively or just for fun
You can pracitce your bowling on your own or with friends - this is known as a roll up. When you're ready to play a game with other members, you can take part in organized open or Veterans' (vets) roll ups.
We also organize a number of open internal club competitions. You can play as an individual or part of a team against other club members and can play in as many teams as you like.
If you're interested in playing competitively against other clubs, we organize mixed matches (friendlies) which are a great way to meet other club members and visiting players.
You can also take part in Inter-club Ladies', Men's, Mixed or Vets' competitions or leagues. These are organised by the affiliated Bowling Associations.

Outdoor bowls (May-Sept)
We have two well maintained six-rink greens that are open from May until September. You can book your roll up online and then turn up and play on any available rink.
You can choose from Outdoor Membership to play outdoors from May to September, or Full Membership if you'd like to play all year, indoors as well.

Indoor bowls (all year round)
We have an eight-rink indoor bowling arena. If you want to play a roll up you'll just need to make sure that you book a rink in advance.
You can choose from Indoor 12 month membership if you want to play indoors only, or Indoor 7 month membership if you want to play indoors from October to April before moving outdoors.

Coaching at Banister Park
If you're looking to try bowling for the first time or you're looking to improve your game, our qualified coaches can help you to get started, understand the rules of the game and help you with your technique.
Current club members can organise coaching sessions with one of our team of coaches by contacting Julian in the club office.

Under 18s
During the indoor season there is an organised Saturday morning junior session, run by qualified coaches. There is no minimum age limit but children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Juniors can play at any time subject to rink availability.
Under 18s can compete in organised junior competitions as well as the main club competitions.
Social events
Our social facilities inlclude a bar, restaurant and large function room - all of which are available to hire for meetings, conferences and private parties.
Throughout the year, we organise a range of social activities for members and non-members including skittles, bingo, quiz nights, and dances.
We offer a social membership if you don't want to play bowls but want to use our social facilities.
