Welcome to Banister Park


Whether you're an experienced player or a complete beginner, we give everyone a warm, friendly welcome at Banister Park Bowling Club.


Our facilities include two six-rink outdoor bowling greens and an eight-rink indoor bowls arena, and members do not pay any rink fees. We welcome members who want to play competitively or just want to play for fun, we cater for under 18s and offer coaching to schools.


We host a range of social events throughout the year, and our spacious function area, restaurant and bar is available for private hire.

Bowls’ Big Weekend is taking place over the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend (28th to 31st May), with over 650 clubs all over the country signed up and offering free coaching throughout the weekend as part of the national campaign. Banister Park is taking part and it is for anyone who would like to come along and have a go at playing bowls free of charge in a covid-secure environment. The further lifting of restrictions means: for outdoor bowling
  • All restrictions on formats and numbers for organised activity under the jurisdiction of Bowls England have been removed.

  • Car sharing is permitted.

  • Indoor hospitality can resume.

  • Spectators can return.

  • Lockers can be used again.

For Indoor bowling, we can now have up to six players on a rink and all rinks are available. 
And the bar is reopening in a restricted way - bar opening times are as follows:
Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10.00am – 2.00pm for food and drinks and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5.45pm – 9.00pm when league matches are being played.
We have 12 rinks available for play outdoors which you can book from the tab above. Once booked, you know there will be a rink available, but it is not possible to book a specific rink. This will be determined by the conditions of the rinks on the day.
Pie and Mash lunch followed by ice cream £8.50 at BP. 12 noon, Friday 18 June. Social distancing will be in place. To book a table please call Helen on 07779 768830.
